We are known as Young Innovation Leadership (YIL) Fellowship, a proprietary programme of the Hutzpa Center for Innovation and Development Inc. Hutzpa Center for Innovation and Development is a non-profit organization that is focused on promoting innovation across Africa. YIL Fellowship is a platform designed to train and mentor young excellent professionals in innovation leadership. Hutzpa Center has the right to re-brand and further position herself in areas that will motivate her vision.
Sponsorship is mainly through crowdfunding, donations and grants from governments, organizations, and individuals that find themselves inclined towards the vision of Hutzpa Center for Innovation and Development.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Form Data
During the registration of prospective fellows every year, various form data are collected which are personal to the prospective fellow who have chosen to undergo the registration process. Some of these data are usually bio-data and career information, they are and not limited to: Biodata, resume, and relevant details for the YIF Fellowship assessment.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automatic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Who we share your data with
During Registration, your form data is used by the Fellowship coordinators to make decisions about your eligibility for the programme. The Fellowship does not share your personal or career data to any third party without consenting you.
How long we retain your data
Your form data remain with us as long as you remain a fellow. However, you can decide that you no longer wish for any of your information to be domiciled with the Fellowship or you can decide to retract your personal information compiled by the Fellowship. When you do not make it pass the screening phase, your registration data will still be with us in case we have any future opportunity where your attribute can fit in so we contact you.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your data is protected as it is not accessible by other fellows, the only person or people who access your data are those who coordinate the affairs of the Fellowship and need your data to help connect you or analyse your attributes.

We understand the importance of keeping the information of our prospective fellows secured and private. The company will do everything to ensure your data is kept secured and private using the available systems within her reach and that conforms with the global data privacy rules. However, we do not promise a perfect layer of security and privacy.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
Your profile constitute the information we gather over time from the period of your registration through the screening stage and your successful admittance into YIL Fellowship. We keep your profile safe as well as promote them across various layers of our social media.
Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy is effective as of (2019) and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time and you should check this Privacy Policy periodically.
